Starting School
So the summer is coming to a close and it is time to get the little ones ready to start school. This can be a stressful time for you and for your little one but don't let them see you sweat because children can pick up on your stress. Just get organized and play it cool.
Here are a few tips to getting throught the first day...
Take the kids to visit the school before school starts just to ease the anxiety.
Talk to your kids about how great it will be to start school and all the great new people they will meet.
Dont hover to long at the school you are just prolonging the inevitable. If your child is upset it will pass don't be there crutch.
Just allow your kiddie to enjoy school and relish in the kiddie steps to conquering independence.
Do take a few pictures to remember the day because they grow so fast.
Get Active
Don't jus leave it to the school to educate and entertain your child. Get involved and become an active parent and create an active child. Here are some really good programs for you and your child to take advantage of.
Childrens Theater- Find the local children's theater in your area, they often offer workshops for younger kids to pull out there creative bug.
Childrens Museums- These are great place to really get the kids thinking and it is geared toward children so it captures their attention and keeps it.
Go Outside- Its really that simple get up turn of the tv and go out side and play with your kids
