     Hello my name is Danielle and I am the mommy behind the page.  I am currently a Yeoman Third Class  in the United States Coast Guard and a single mommy of one, which I love so much.  I am also a full-time student pursuing my teaching degree in elementary education.  I aspire to be a third grade teacher because  I love kidz and just want to be available to help kidz and parents to ensure a brighter future for us all.

Mommy Mania

     Turn on the TV, look at the newstand, listen to the radio....everywhere you look and everything you hear today are celebs that are pregnant.  This is the year of the babies.  So are you sitting at home pregnant wishing you could look as fab as the preggo celebs.  Well you can.  Pick yourself up and take a lesson from the celebs about looking fab and pregnant. 

 When I was pregnant with my son I didnt just lounge around in sweats and complain, I got up and got out of the house put on my make-up and got myself some cute maternity gear.  Now given I didnt have Halley or Christina money but that didnt mean I couldn't look the part. 

 I found out that I could get cute clothes at places such as Old Navy, Motherhood maternity and Mimi Maternity.  I even went one step further as to go to the regular clothing stores and just buy cute tops in a bigger size than normal so I might have had a growing belly but I was determined to remain stylish.

Losing the Baby Weight

My Meal Plan

Now at the beginning of my diet I cut out meat for 30 days and did a strictly vegetarian type diet.  This may not be for you but it worked wonders for me. Then after a month I went on to eating chicken and turkey.

Breakfast- Slimfast and a fruit (a different one everday)

Snacks-rasins, grapes, peanuts,special K bar

Lunch- soup or salad (spray dressing)

Snacks-rasin, grapes,peanuts, special

Dinner- steamed vegetables, fruit


Mostly all women want to shed the weight that they pick up from having a baby and so did I.  I am not rich and I didn't have a persoanl trainer or a cook to help me along the way. 

I took matters in to my own hands and came up with a plan that would help me get the weight off in time for my Miami vacation.

Here is what I did:

I researched  everything on nutrition and fitness.

Then I made a workout plan and a personal meal schedule.

My workout:

Every other moring I would wake up and hour early and do push ups, sit ups and crunches. The routine looked something like this:

10min warm up (stretches)

5min (push ups, sit ups, crunches)

      Do 5 push ups then change postions and do 5 sit ups changes positions and do 10 crunches. Repeat for 5mins

5min rest drink some water

5min (push ups, sit ups, crunches)

      Do 5 push ups then change postions and do 5 sit ups changes positions and do 10 crunches. Repeat for 5mins

5min rest drink some water

Then shower and start your day!!!


Everyday I went on a two mile walk with my son after I got of from work.
